Another adoption update

Well here is the latest on the adoption. We finally have a court date for the termination of parental rights but it is later than we had hoped it would be. It won't be till July 23rd. Once that happens though then it should only be about another 30 days or so and then everything will be finalized. Please continue to pray that things will move along smoothly and that everything will be finalized sooner than later.

Our 1st trip to the pool

Yesterday we celebrated Memorial Day with a trip to the pool. We started out with a ride in the car over to the pool. Brian was able to get a picture of her in her sun hat before she pulled it off. He is pretty quick because it only took about 2.5 seconds for her to take it off. Once we arrived at the pool Maya Grace had her first experience in the water. She wasn't sure at first but soon realized how much fun the pool can be. Brian took pictures while Mommy and Maya Grace swam around the shallow end. We had a great time and can't wait to go back again soon.

Riding in the trailer

Maya Grace got a bike trailer for her birthday and we took her for her first ride this weekend. She had a great time as Brian pulled her around the neighborhood. We then took her today for a ride on the Greenway and she chatted and laughed the whole way. She even told Brian to "go,go,go" when he was passing some walkers.

Maya Grace is One

We are so excited and blessed to celebrate Maya Grace's first birthday. She turned one on April 24th but the family party was today. She has had a full birthday week. She started with a fun day on her birthday which lead to turning the car seat around. She was also given her first pair of sunglasses and you can see her showing them off in style in the photo above. She now faces forward and is fascinated with the view. She ended the week with a family party and her first cupcake, which of course she wouldn't touch. The only think she liked was the icing, smart girl!
