Riding in the trailer
Maya Grace got a bike trailer for her birthday and we took her for her first ride this weekend. She had a great time as Brian pulled her around the neighborhood. We then took her today for a ride on the Greenway and she chatted and laughed the whole way. She even told Brian to "go,go,go" when he was passing some walkers.

Maya Grace is One
We are so excited and blessed to celebrate Maya Grace's first birthday. She turned one on April 24th but the family party was today. She has had a full birthday week. She started with a fun day on her birthday which lead to turning the car seat around. She was also given her first pair of sunglasses and you can see her showing them off in style in the photo above. She now faces forward and is fascinated with the view. She ended the week with a family party and her first cupcake, which of course she wouldn't touch. The only think she liked was the icing, smart girl!

Adoption Status Update
I know you all are curious about the big adoption day and so I wanted to update everyone. We were hoping that April, 24th (her birthday) would be the BIG day but unfortunately that isn't the case. It looks like because of red tape, goverment workers etc. it will be July before everything is finalized. Thank you for the prayers and please continue to pray for peace over us as we wait. I will keep everyone updated as things move along and we turn another page.

Easter 2008
Celebrating Easter this year with our new daughter, was wonderful. We enjoyed having family and a few friends over for lunch. Maya Grace wasn't really interested in the stuffed animal the Easter Bunny sent her though. We still were able to stage some cute pictures that make it look like she did. :) We are learning quickly the art of picture taking with an infant.
Maya Grace's First Trip
We were so excited to get to go to Seattle for Spring Break this year. Maya Grace got to go on her first plane ride and amazingly enough we all survived. She was of course wonderful and only cried a few short times. Does that mean I am signing up for anymore 5 hour flight anytime soon, NO. That was work! I think we will wait awhile before we fly across the country again. Who knows though we always say those kinds of things and then do it anyway. She did enjoy meeting her cousins though and they LOVED her too. We had a great time and were glad for her to meet some more of her family. It's official... Maya Grace hates doing laundry as much as her mom. I feel just like she looks when I have to put away all the clothes. Ahhh!
